Nonogram
Stitch the picture the numbers describe. The reward is a little satin patch, with its colours kept secret until you solve it.
How to play
Numbers beside a row or above a column describe runs of stitched cells, in order. A clue of 2, 3 means two stitches, a gap of at least one empty cell, then three stitches. Extra empty cells can appear before, between or after those runs.
Choose Stitch to fill cells or Knot to mark known gaps. Tap a mark to remove it; drag along one row or column for a whole stroke. Undo reverses that whole stroke. On a keyboard, use arrows to move, Space to stitch, K or X to knot, Backspace to clear, and U or Ctrl+Z to undo.
How to solve Nonogram
- Overlap long runs. Place a long run as far left and as far right as possible. The cells shared by both placements must be stitched.
- Work from the edges. A known stitch close to an edge can force the beginning or end of a run. Complete that run, then knot its boundary.
- Look for zero and full lines. A zero line is entirely empty. If the run lengths plus their required separating gaps fill the line exactly, every position is known.
- Use knots to exclude cells. Once a run is complete, knot the cells around it. Knots divide the remaining line into smaller spaces.
- Count in groups of five. Use the dashed five-cell guides instead of counting the whole line again. Cross-check each deduction with the other direction.
Questions
What do the numbers mean?
Each number is a consecutive run of stitched cells in that row or column. Runs appear in the listed order, with at least one empty cell between them.
What does Knot do?
A knot is a reminder that a cell should stay empty. Knots are optional for completion. Right-click, hold a cell for 450 milliseconds, or press K or X to toggle a knot.
Can I undo a whole drag?
Yes. Undo reverses one whole stroke, not just its final cell. A drag stays on one row or one column and does not overwrite marks of the other kind.
How is my daily score checked?
The server compares your stitched cells with the daily answer. The score is 3,000 minus five points per elapsed second, with a minimum of 100. Attempts expire after 30 minutes and you can start at most 20 per day.
Which patches join my quilt?
Only daily patches join your quilt. A verified solve reveals the colours. If verification fails, a purple patch is kept locally without a confirmed leaderboard score. Practice does not add daily patches.
