Light Up puzzle for November 5, 2026
Today's little festival of light
Everyone receives the same 6×6 courtyard for the UTC day. Place paper lanterns until every open tile is lit. Light travels horizontally and vertically, stopping at a ceramic planter or the edge. Two lanterns cannot shine on one another. A numbered planter counts lanterns on its four neighbouring tiles; diagonal tiles do not count.
The Lantern tool places and removes lanterns with one tap. Mark is for optional notes: a cross says you have ruled a tile out. You can undo, restart or request a logical explanation. The first daily hint asks for confirmation of its 300-point cost. The server records hints and elapsed time, so the verified score cannot be chosen by the browser.
Each board has exactly one solution and can be completed using logic alone. Your first visit can start with the tiny teaching garden, which does not start the daily timer or change your board. A frozen publication keeps the same puzzle for everyone throughout the day, even if new boards are added later.
A verified solve adds a named paper lantern to this week's string. The eight colours and four motifs follow the date, without revealing the solved board. When verification is unavailable, a plain lantern is kept locally instead and no ranked result is claimed. Collections belong to this browser; practice does not add daily lanterns.
Light Up is currently a preview. Its daily challenge is separate from the nine released games' progress and streaks. Tomorrow's garden arrives at 00:00 UTC. For more boards now, try the three practice sizes.
